In 2016, Meherabode's annual Urban Sahavas will happen over the July 2nd, 3rd & 4th 3-day weekend, featuring special guest speakers Dara & Amrit Irani, and special guest musician Raine Eastman-Gannett. A Sahavas gathering has been happening annually among devotees of Avatar Meher Baba for the past 40 years! Hope you can join us in LA this year.

The Meherabode.org website is currently under reconstruction.  Therefore, as an expedient, we created this simple blog to serve as a Sahavas at Meherabode informational website.

Here, Sahavas-goers can conveniently access all the basic information, including the downloadable Registration Form (in PDF).

The registration form is HERE

This Year's Sahavas Special Guests

Guest Speakers

We are pleased to announce that Dara and Amrit Irani, from Meherabad / India, will be our special guest speakers this year!

Dara is Beloved Baba's nephew, son of Adi Jr., Baba's youngest brother. The daughter of Meher Baba's disciple Shatrughan Kumar of Dehra Dun, Amrit has been with Baba since childhood. Dara and Amrit were married by Beloved Baba in 1968.

PLEASE NOTE: Amrit and Dara will only be speaking at Meherabode's LA Urban Sahavas. They do not plan to give talks at any other location in the USA during their visit this year.

Guest Musician

We are also happy to welcome back our dear friend, Raine Eastman-Gannett.

[1978 - Raine with Beloved Mehera]
Raine, who resides in Berkeley, Calif., began her career with schooling at the Queensland Conservatory of Music, Australia, simultaneously receiving guidance from her mentor, Francis Brabazan, Meher Baba's poet Mandali. Raine performs and teaches music of both West and East; she is also known as Rani Didi.

We look forward to hearing Raine's lovely voice & music again.

Space is limited, so register early.

Our Sahavas Site:  Meherabode

dome

Meherabode is felt by many to be among the loveliest of Centers devoted to Meher Baba in the United States. It comprises a secluded one-acre property in a residential area a bit south of Hollywood, nestled among mansions from the 1920s with the elegance and style of that period. There is a serene atmosphere and palpable presence of Baba's sweetness amid the lovely gardens, along the walking paths, and within the cozy meditation chapel (ormandir) called "the Dome" (glimpsed above). Meherabode's large Meeting Hall is the perfect setting for talks; and Meher Baba Books (our bookstore) is nearby (located just through the glass doors). Meherabode also features a little Tea House adjacent the remnant Greenhouse (used for gatherings and refreshments), and a large outdoor area for al fresco dining where you can enjoy the lovely Southern California summer climate.
